| Okay, updates from the last couple of weekends. We took Lauren to get her ears pierced. She was such a brave little girl. She sat there calmly without flinching nor crying. We also took Lauren to get her first haircut ever. My hairdresser cut 6 inches off!! But she looks very cute. We've been having problems with the camera lately....I'll attempt to upload asap.
Matthew just celebrated his 7th birthday on February 28th. WOW! where has the time gone? He failed his eye exam at school so T took him to get his vision checked out at the local opt. He'll be needing glasses! YIKES!
Last weekend was Matthew's school fundraiser at the Orinda Country Club. We got dressed up and attended the event. There was a silent and live auction. We sat at a table with good friends. There was a bidding war against us and another table for an overnight stay at Safari West. Unfortunately, after a certain amount we had to call it quits. I believe the trip went for $1400!! There was also a bidding war between one of Matthew's classmates mom and myself on the class project which was a quilt with 16 fishes (made by 16 kids) in the class. Matthew asked me to bid on that. We paid $175!!!! Needless to say, by the end of the night, we spent more than we wanted to but the good thing is that all the money raised that night went to Matthew's school. We didn't attend last year but I'm certainly glad we did this year! We're all about education!
Today, I took Lauren on BART to the Oracle Arena in Oakland to meet up with Sandra and Julia for the Disney Princess on ice. It was a great show. It was good to catch up with Sandra for a bit.
Busy at work, had 2 Patient Level Recalls Friday and I had to draft up a memo. Plus, one of my vendors came to get data. Therefore, I did OT!! Talk about major stress!!!!! My "Boss" who use to be the Sr. VP, CMO just got promoted and now our pod will be reporting directly to the Executive VP, COO!!! He came in our pod to tell us the news directly.
Planning the COF Easter luncheon has been keeping me busy!! I'll have to stuff the eggs soon!!!! Looking forward to the event and praying for good weather for the egg hunt!

| Gung Hay Fat Choy! Wishing everyone happiness, good health and prosperity for the year of the rat! Our department CNY potluck was a huge success and everyone ate to their heart's content. We had Chinese New Year Eve dinner with my parents. My mom "goes out" every year and cooks a ton of dishes. My contribution this year was making the curry chicken. T went to his parents' house and spent the actual CNY there while the kids and I stayed in the East Bay.
Last weekend was our COF CNY/Valentine's get together. We all met at Serramonte prior to lunch to take a photo of the kids dressed in their Chinese outfits. (Etoiledelune posted a group photo) Afterwards, we went to Moonstar in Daly City for lunch. It was great to catch up with everyone!
Valentine's Day, T got me a card and lavender roses. We went to Il Fornacio for lunch in downtown Walnut Creek. Night time, my dad, the kiddies, me and T went to Fuddruckers. (my mom forgot it was Valentine's Day and went to play mj. She left my dad hanging!)
Work has been hectic!!! 4 recalls in the last 2 days. I a so looking forward to the 3 day weekend!!!!!!!!!

| Sorry, took a brief hiatus from blogging. So much stuff went on the last few months of 2007, DRAMA!. One of my resolutions this year is to update my blog on a regular basis. We are now into February... where has the time gone???? Let's see....work has been work, hectic as usual and no replacement yet! We're gearing up for Chinese New Year on Thursday, February 7th. My co-worker Chez Dez and I coordinated a CNY department potluck that day. It should be alot of fun! Matthew will be turning 7 at the end of this month and he's got some projects to work on for school. Lauren will be turning 4 in April and will be moved to Pre-K. How time flies......

| Sorry, been lazy and busy to update the blog. Let's see.....Um, finally got to take the kids to Discovery Kingdom on 9/15. We meet my friend J and Ava around 11 am at the front gate. I took Matthew on the "serpent" roller coaster ride and he liked it. We saw Shuca and the rest of the time was spent riding kiddie rides. The kids each won a prize from the "guess your age" game. All 3 times, the guy was off on our ages! J left about 5 ish and we stayed until the park closed!! We rode the rides in Thomasville a few times and someof the other rides in the kiddie area before heading home. None of the kids napped and were out as soon as we started the car. Thanks to J for his complimentary tickets!
The following weeked 9/22 was Miss Ava's 4th birthday party. It was held at Club Libby Lu located at Stoneridege Mall. OMG!!!! they went all out. The girls got to pick out their dress up outfits, choose a hairstyle (4 options), get their makeup done and nails painted and pick 5 items for their goody bags!! Afterwards, the girls did a fashion show!! They all looked so cute! After their "make-overs," we headed out to McDonalds for lunch and cupcakes. Prior to attending the birthday party, we learned that my mother in law was in the hospital with a fever and a swollen hand. Brother in law #3 took her into the ER and had x-rays done and found no broken bones. We went into the City to visit her at the hospital. Parking was a BITCH!! It was the weekend of the Autumn Moon Festival and it took us almost an hour before we found a space! We were there for a couple of hours before heading home.
Last weekend, October 6th a few friends and us threw a baby shower for our good friends Spence and Michelle. It was a good turn out and the theme was high noon tea. OMG, Evain and Eveen did an excellent job with the finger sandwiches and the desserts! Thanks for posting the recipe for the scones! I'm not much of a baker but I'm excited to try new recipes. (I'll have to let you know how it turns out! lol) I think everyone enjoyed themselves. Since we missed the last COF event in July, it had been a while since we saw our close friends! We were so happy just to get together and just catch up! Our next COF event is the big Halloween party. We are looking forward to dressing up! I'm way behind on putting the goody bags together!! I just ordered the stuff last week...... Some for Matthew's class, for Lauren's class, COF and the kids on our block!
Last night, we had dinner with Spence,Michelle, Cathy, Steve and all the kiddies at South Seas Pearl Seafood Restaurant just down the street from us. It was a delicious meal! Spence and Michelle ended paying for it! (after Michelle called me and told me since it was a large group, we'll all split it!) Thanks for the yummo dinner! Afterwards, we went over to Spence and Michelle's place to hang out. It was close to 1:00 a.m. before we left. Matthew and Lauren were really cranky not to mention that I was cranky too! (sorry for being a "hot" head!!)
Same ol, same ol at work. Busy as usual and I just finished coordinating our quarterly department potluck last Thursday. Overall it went well. The VP of Pharmacy Operations was in our pod and had 3 servings of my curry chicken.... I was ecstatic!! Thanks to all who participated! Afterwards, I met up with my childhood friend L and now co-worker for drinks downtown at Stanfords. I was also able to get some shopping done. Matthew has a birthday party Sunday 10/14. Thanks to hubby who picked up Lauren from school and took care of the kiddies for a couple of hours. (but then again, he owes me.....he goes out with his co-workers on occassion too for a drink or two)

| Though last week was a short week, it was still a hectic week for me at work. I finally had everything set for the training program which occurred on Friday. I was busy printing off all the materials and assembling all the binders! On Friday morning, I dropped Lauren off earlier at school and then went to work to load up the boxes of binders and supplies and proceeded to go to the Marriott Hotel. There was some minor things that were not taken care of but luckily I was able to straighten it out. When the class started, I went back to the G.O. I heard from our manager of professional services that everything went well. I hope Saturday's training went off without a hitch! I guess I'll find out sometime this week. Next task is to set up a conference call for the pharmacists that need only the OSHA training.
Matthew's enjoying 1st grade so far. We had a back to school night on Tuesday, September 4th. We met his teacher and other parents and signed up to bring things in for his class. He's got homework already!
